EnergyX to Build New Lithium Plant at TexAmericas Center
EnergyX, a clean energy company, announced today it will build its Project Lonestar Lithium Demonstration Plant at the TexAmericas Center in Texarkana, Texas. The move marks a major step forward for the U.S. domestic lithium supply and is expected to bring new high-skilled jobs to the region.
A Texas Strategic Choice for Clean Energy
The TexAmericas Center was selected for this landmark project because of its competitive advantages as a major industrial park. It offers a multimodal transportation hub, access to a skilled local workforce, and competitive operating costs.
"This project represents a new chapter for the Texarkana region," said Teague Egan, Founder & CEO of EnergyX. "We are turning a former defense property and military base into a hub for America’s clean energy future."

Texarkana-Area Jobs and Opportunities
EnergyX, which uses its LiTAS direct lithium extraction technologies, plans to invest approximately $20 million into a 22,000-square-foot facility. This investment is projected to create over 40 new jobs and aligns with EnergyX's commitment to the community.
- The expansion will bring:
- Competitive wages above industry standards.
- Employee ownership through equity participation.
Inclusive hiring practices for veterans, women, and minority-owned businesses.

"Together, we’re converting historic assets into a high-performing campus that supports energy security, quality jobs, and long-term growth."
A Blueprint for the Future
