Texarkana Pickleball Fundraiser In August – It’s A Big Dill

If pickleball doesn't lend itself to dad jokes, I don't what will! You know the dill, I relish any opportunity to drop a good dad joke.

Texarkana Texas Parks and Recreation Department has a great opportunity for you to play in an upcoming fundraiser pickleball tournament, so get your team together, and let's go knock them over the fence.

I'm not sure what a cucumber goes through in becoming a pickle, but I hear it's pretty jarring.

What's a Pickleball?

Pickleball is a combination of three games, tennis, badminton, and ping pong, and is played on a tennis court but the dimensions and fault lines have been greatly reduced. It's played with paddles instead of rackets and the balls resemble colorful wiffle balls.

Upcoming Texarkana Tournament:

• When: Friday, August 9
• Where: Southwest Center
  3222 W 7th St, Texarkana, TX
• What Time: Check-in begins at 6:45 PM
• Cost: $40 per team

Teams are doubles, can be mixed, all male, or all female. Any skill level is welcome. Round Robin style with 6 games guaranteed. This tournament will be on the Southwest Center's outdoor courts.

All Proceeds will benefit Texas High's Prom.
