The Heat is On! Get Ready for the Best Salsa in the Ark-La-Tex

It's been a hot summer, and it's about to get even hotter with the Texarkana Farmers Market annual Best Salsa in the Ark-La-Tex competition on Saturday, August 2, at 500 North State Line Avenue.

Spicy Fun at the Best Salsa in the Ark-La-Tex Competition - 9AM

Local salsa makers are invited to be a part of the friendly competition to see who has the tastiest fresh salsa in the Texarkana area. Everyone in the community is invited to come out, taste, and vote for their favorite salsa. Categories will feature a variety of hot, mild, medium, or specialty salsas.

Additionally, vendors will be selling home-grown produce like vegetables, fruits, and meats. Texarkana Farmers Market vendors will also feature locally made soaps, honey, floral, artisan crafts, jams, herbs, and baked goods.

Texarkana Farmers Market's annual Best Salsa in the Ark-La-Tex competition is one of their biggest events of the year and closes out the 2025 season. It's hard to believe, but it seems like they just opened. Come see who gets crowned the "2025 Salsa King" and gets bragging rights until next season.

The Texarkana Farmers Market is at 500 N. State Line Avenue on the west side of the downtown Federal Post Office Building.
