Wright Patman Lake - You can enjoy the lake area even if you don't have a boat.  You can spend the day at the free beach area. They also have a great frisbee golf course and a ton of great places for a picnic lunch!  

Great Day Trips Not Too Far From Texarkana

Historic Washington State Park - in Washington, Arkansas. Tour this park with historic buildings from the 1800s and learn about the early days of Arkansas and the Bowie Knife

Giraffe Inn & Safari in New Boston, Texas - If you love animals, you'll love the petting zoo, safari rides, cool vip experiences and you can even spend the night.
