The Texarkana Texas Police continues to investigate a shooting that occurred on Tuesday evening and is looking for a suspect. A warrant for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon has been issued for Dominique Dejohn Robertson, 25, of Texarkana, Texas. The victim was treated at a local hospital and released later that night.

Officers were dispatched to Wadley Hospital at 7:00 Tuesday night after a 24 year old man suffering from a gunshot wound in his back was brought to the emergency room by private vehicle. Officers determined that the shooting had occurred a short time earlier near the 1700 block of South Robison Road. The victim said that, while enroute to meet an unknown woman in the Liberty Eylau area, a gold Mercury pulled beside his vehicle and the occupants fired several shots at him. After realizing that he had been shot, the victim drove himself to a residence in the 1400 block of Milam, where friends then took him to Wadley Hospital.

According to the Press Release, the victim identified Robertson as one of the people who had allegedly shot at him from the other vehicle, and Detectives Cody Harris and Cliff Harris were able to obtain the Aggravated Assault warrant late last night.

Anyone with information about this crime or Robertson’s location is asked to call the Texarkana Texas Police Department at 903-798-3116 or Texarkana Area Crime Stoppers at 903-793-STOP.
