We all know the saying that Texarkana is Twice as Nice. It's always fun to explain to friends or relatives who don't live here that, being a border town, we have two of just about everything!

We have two cities in two states, two wonderful mayors, two great police departments, 2 fire departments and we also have two farmers' markets!

Texarkana: Twice as Nice for Farmers' Market Lovers!

Farmers' Markets are such a wonderful way to shop local and get fresh fruits, vegetables, home-baked goods and crafts and so much more.

Last weekend was the opening of both farmers' markets! Be sure and stop by and see all they both have to offer this week!

It's early in the season, so there won't be a whole lot of fruits, but there will be some vegetables available and loads of other great products from home-baked breads and jams to fresh eggs, plants, homemade crafts and more.

As we get into the summer months, we will see the peaches and tomatoes show up at the markets too, but it is still a little bit of a wait
