Texarkana’s Veterans Day Parade Is This Saturday, November 9
Saturday is the day we get a chance to salute those who have paved the way for the lives we live today, get ready to attend or be a part of Texarkana's Veterans Day Parade.
Sacrifice:
I find it hard to express my appreciation for all members of the armed forces of this nation, and the sacrifices they have made to help keep our beloved country free, but here are a few that come to mind:
- Vote in every election.
- Fly Old Glory at your home or business on holidays or all the time if you can.
- Shake the hand of a veteran and say thank you.
- Attend the Veterans Day Parade!
On that last one, we can do just that this Saturday in downtown Texarkana during the 2024 Veteran's Day Parade.
Theme?
This year's Veterans Day Parade theme is a "Salute to Women in the Military."

The parade will head west along Broad Street beginning at Hazel on the Arkansas side, turn right on Texas Blvd. on the Texas side, and right again on W. 3rd Street heading east. Then left on N. Stateline Ave heading toward the Post Office, then a final right turn onto E. 5th Street where the parade will end at Hazel St.
