Plan Now For Texarkana’s ‘Wellness Remix’ Coming Up April 30

Texarkana, Texas is collaborating with Texas A&M University-Texarkana and Texarkana Healthcare Marketing Professionals for an event called the Wellness Remix: Total Health and Wellness Expo. 

Scheduled for Tuesday, April 30th, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM at the Texarkana Convention Center, the Expo aims to promote health and provide valuable resources and tips for all age groups to lead healthier lives.

The event will feature healthcare experts, financial advice, fitness insights, spiritual guidance, information on Medicare and Social Security, and tips on fraud prevention. Workshops and various vendors will offer attendees opportunities to learn and explore ways to improve their well-being.

Jay Davis from Texas A&M University-Texarkana emphasizes the importance of such events in promoting healthier lifestyles through access to essential services and information.

With over 100 vendors participating, businesses and organizations have a platform to showcase services and products that contribute to health and wellness. Justin Sutton, President of Texarkana Healthcare Marketing Professionals, believes these resources will positively impact the community by improving access to healthcare.

The event is open to all at no cost, offering parents insights into financial planning for high school students, information on Medicare, and guidance on health plans. Kristi Kilgore from the Health Department highlights the benefits of collaboration with diverse organizations in reaching more people and enhancing community well-being.

Workshops led by experts will cover topics such as financial literacy, nutrition, Medicare benefits, fraud protection, and understanding FAFSA for college planning.
