Texarkana’s Stephanie Rice Eliminated From ‘The Voice’
Last night on NBC's "The Voice" eliminations results show, Texarkana, Texas native Stephanie Rice was sent home after a gutsy performance attempt to be saved by America. Both Mark Isaiah and Rice had the fewest votes and had to sing one last time for the Instant Save voting portion of the show. Unfortunately, in the end, it was Isaiah who was voted through and moved into the Top 10 next week. The 28-year old blue-eyed blonde chose to do the Julia Michael's song "Issues" for her instant save. Rice continued to show the judges and America why she was worthy of advancing to the Top 10. She continued to sing with confidence, sincerity, conviction and emotion, something she has shown in all her performances this season.
"Musically you are a producer, you are a musician, you play multiple instruments, you are a writer, you are exactly what an artist is supposed to be," said, Coach Alicia Keys trying to sway America to keep her in the singing competition. But in the end it was the 19-year old pop singer Mark Isaiah who survived.
"You've enabled me to be here. I really can't express how much you mean to me. No one can take away what you've given me," Rice said to Keys before hearing the results.
As to what's next for Stephanie Rice who knows? But one thing's for sure. She is a fighter Finishing in the Top 11 is no easy feat and she has no reason to hang her head. I have a feeling this is only the beginning for Rice. You haven't heard the last of her. Thanks, Stephanie for representing Texarkana well.
Here are the last two song performances from Stephanie Rice along with all her performances this season.
Here's her performance of "White Flag."
