Texas A&M University-Texarkana will celebrate its spring 2017 commencement ceremony Saturday, May 13, at 10AM at the First Baptist Church of Texarkana on Moores Lane in Texarkana, Texas.

Kristie Avery, graduation specialist in the Office of the Registrar, said a total of 272 students will receive master’s and baccalaureate degrees. Approximately 224 students are expected to participate in the ceremony.

Dr. Emily Cutrer, president of A&M-Texarkana, and Dr. David Yells, provost and vice president for academic affairs, will present the candidates and confer the degrees.

Dr. Nancy Jordan, interim dean of graduate studies and research at A&M-Texarkana, will present academic hoods to recipients of master’s degrees.

Organist will be Vickie Al-Dubais.  Vocalist will be student Alana Briley.

Those who will not be able to attend the ceremony may view it live at the following Web address, which will be active on the day of the ceremony.
