The Texas A&M University-Texarkana Eagles Soccer Academy will host a series of soccer camps this month for youths ages 5-18.

The Eagles Soccer Academy is designed to give youths an opportunity to learn, develop and enhance their soccer skills and techniques. The primary focus is on teaching the core fundamentals of the game, individual technique and ball mastery.

A combination of fun and exciting games are used to reinforce the players’ skills in order to produce optimal results. The goal is for players to develop new skills, have fun and make new friends.

Boys and Girls Youth Camp will run from July 25-28 as follows:

Ages 5-6, 9-10:30 a.m., $40

Ages 7-9, 9-11:30 a.m., $55

Ages 10-13, 6-8 p.m., $75

High School Camps are designed for high school teams and players that want to learn, develop and train in a competitive environment and to receive exposure to college coaching. Training sessions will be conducted by A&M-Texarkana staff members, guest college coaches and other United States Soccer Federation licensed coaches. Sessions focus on technical and tactical aspects of the game while playing small-sided and full-sided matches. This camp also allows players to gain information on the college recruiting process.

College ID Camps are designed for players ages 15-18 who want advanced technical, tactical and functional soccer training. Training sessions are conducted by A&M-Texarkana staff members, guest college coaches and other USSF licensed coaches. There also will be 45-minute speed sessions and 45-minute strength/conditional sessions. Players will be able to play in competitive small-sided and full-sided matches and to receive exposure to college coaching. This camp allows players interested in playing at A&M-Texarkana to be seen and evaluated and to gain information on the college recruiting process.

Girls High School Camp for students in grades 9-12 and College ID Camp for students ages 15-18 will be July 21-24. Cost is $275 for residents and $225 for commuter campers. Team discounts are available.

Boys High School Camp for students in grades 9-12 and College ID Camp for students ages 15-18 will be July 28-31. Cost is $275 for residents and $225 for commuter campers. Team discounts are available.
