At first, this sounds like a bad thing but actually, if you think about it...if something is labeled as a tourist trap isn't it because it's popular and people want to go to that destination or attraction? So, is that really a bad thing?

If you want peace and quiet then grab a tent and head to the mountains or lock yourself in your house but if you want to see an attraction that is maybe historic or fun and different then yes people will be there.

There is one attraction in Arkansas that made USA Today's list of the 'Worst Tourist Traps in the World' and three attractions in Texas that made the list.

USA Today said they analyzed a kazillion (okay, they said the number was 23.2 million) Google reviews of attractions all around the world. They looked for how frequently these reviews said Tourist Trap. Then they narrowed it down the list to 100 attractions.

The Three Attractions in Texas That Made The Worst Tourist Trap in The World List Are:

This one came in at #46. It's beautiful and there are some great restaurants. Maybe the locals don't like it because of all the tourists but if you are going to visit San Antonio this is a no-brainer.

The Alamo came in at number 48. Sorry but this is a historic place and if you've never been this is seriously a BIG MUST on your list. Are you starting to see what I meant about if a place is labeled as a tourist trap that is not a bad thing?

Making the list at #88, this is another cool place to visit and it is actually on my wish list to see.

Arkansas Had One Attraction to Make The Worst Tourist Trap in The World List

Crater of Diamonds State Park

The Crater of Diamonds State Park made the list at #35. Yes, people want to go to the only diamond mine in the world where the public can dig for actual diamonds! I've been there a couple of times with family and a 7-year-old girl just recently found a diamond almost 3 carats!

Here's the deal if USA Today wants to call these some of the worst tourist traps in the world, let them. In my opinion, all these are a must to do at least once in your lifetime if not more.  I think both Arkansas and Texas should feel honored to make this list.
