The Civil War was one of the most trying times in our nation’s history.

Coming up on November 5-6, from 9-5 in historic Washington State Park, Arkansas they will be hosting “Town in Conflict”, a look at the many aspects of life during the bloody, costly years of the Civil War.

Programs will be conducted throughout the park on such topics as civilian refugees, religion during the war, military camps and drills, Civil War medicine, and the political issues of the day.

Tours will be available in addition to the free outdoor Civil War interpretive activities. Admission to this event will be $7 per adult and $3 for children 6-12.
