Two Earthquakes Reported In Arkansas Over The Weekend
Did you know that there were two earthquakes in Arkansas over the weekend?
The first one was Friday afternoon at 4:06 PM and was a 2.5 magnitude. The second one was on Sunday morning around 1:25 AM with 2.5 magnitude.
According to KOMC both took place in Marion County near South Lead Hill in Arkansas
Located 21.1 miles west-northwest of Mountain Home, 23.6 miles east-northeast of Harrison and 30.3 miles east-southeast of Branson.
There have been quite a few earthquakes in Arkansas the past 30 days. Volcanodiscovery.com states that there have been 15 earthquakes. Eleven of them had a magnitude of at least 2.5 and above, while four of them had a magnitude of under 2.

Although earthquakes under a magnitude of 2.0 aren't usually felt, you might feel it if it is shallow and the person is close to the epicenter. But weather such as wind or traffic noise can mask the earthquake for most people.
