West Little Rock Officer Involved Shooting Under Investigation
The Arkansas State Police Criminal Investigation Division reports they are now investigating an officer-involved shooting that occurred around 6 AM, Tuesday morning in West Little Rock, Arkansas.
The State Police report states the shooting occurred at 4 Durance Court, Little Rock, during the serving of a warrant by a Federal agency, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
The person shot is named Bryan Malinowski, 53. Malinowski was injured with gunshot wounds and treated on scene by paramedics before being transported to a local hospital. His condition is unknown at the time of this writing.
According to the report, an ATF agent was also injured with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound and was transported to a local hospital.
The ATF and the Little Rock Police Department asked the Arkansas State Police to investigate the incident as well.
The Releases states that additional information will be released as it becomes available.
as always in these cases of an Officer Involved Shooting, an investigative case file will be presented to the prosecuting attorney, who will then determine whether the use of deadly force was consistent with Arkansas law.
