CHRISTUS St. Michael Atlanta Foundation will host the first Atlanta "Tour de Forest Bicycle Ride" on Saturday, June 2, 2018, at the Atlanta Fairgrounds in partnership with the Atlanta Forest Festival. The soon-to-be-annual event is a first for the Foundation and is the first event of its kind for the Atlanta community.

According to the Press Release, the ride will start and end at the Atlanta Fairgrounds, located at 606 S. Louise St, Atlanta, TX. Day-of-race registration opens at 7:30 a.m., and the ride will start at 9 a.m. Participants can register online at www.bikereg.com/tour-de-forest. The early registration fee is $30, and registration at the event is $35. All registration includes an event t-shirt and swag bag.

“The Tour de Forest is a recreational bike ride, highlighting the beautiful piney woods of Northeast Texas,” said Melissa Kimble, Foundation Development Coordinator. “The ride will have loop routes of 19, 36 and 50 miles so riders of all skill levels will be able to enjoy a beautiful day outside and test their skills if they wish. All routes are on paved roads, will be supported by professionals and have multiple rest stops.”

“This event is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy God’s beautiful creation and promote physical activity,” said Kimble. “With the wonderful support of Atlanta and the Cass County community, this event and our efforts will benefit those who need our support through the efforts of the CHRISTUS St. Michael Atlanta Foundation.”

Each Tour de Forest participant will receive a ticket to the festival, also scheduled for Saturday, June 2, to hear Time Warp the Band. With handpicked, seasoned artists from an array of impressive backgrounds and experiences, Time Warp is one of DFW’s premier special event party bands.

All proceeds from the Tour de Forest benefit the CHRISTUS St. Michael Atlanta Foundation.
