If you love airshows, then you're going to love this!  It's been a long time coming, but Texarkana is finally getting an airshow.

2026 Texarkana Airshow

The airshow is scheduled for June 27, 2026, at the new Texarkana Regional Airport.  It has been over 30 years since Texarkana residents last had the opportunity to see an airshow in this area.

The event promises thrilling aerial performances, including acrobatic displays, formation flying, and military flyovers. Texarkana has a unique history in aviation, and this air show will pay homage with ground displays of historic aircraft.

We’re proud to bring an event of this scale back to the community after all these years. We hope to create a memorable experience for families, aviation fans, and future pilots alike,” said Paul Mehrlich, executive director.

“It’s not just about aerial performances, it’s about inspiring future aviators, supporting local education programs like Texarkana College’s aviation mechanics training, and energizing our regional economy."  “The upcoming airshow is an incredible opportunity to showcase the momentum we’re building at Texarkana Regional Airport.”

The airshow will be held at the new state-of-the-art Texarkana Regional Airport and is expected to draw crowds from the four-state region. The gates will open at 9 a.m., with aircraft performances beginning at 4:30 p.m.

Additionally, guests can enjoy displays of Harley-Davidson motorcycles, food vendors, and activities for all ages.

Coincides with America’s 250th Anniversary

The airshow will coincide with America’s 250th anniversary on July 4, 2026. “It is an honor to host such a dynamic event, the weekend before the Fourth of July holiday, that will give the community a meaningful and exciting way to celebrate together,” said Texarkana A&P Commissioner Steven Hollibush.
