
$30 Million Movie Studio Facility in The Works For Arkansas
Hollywood just might be heading to Arkansas soon to take advantage of a very big filming facility that an L.A. business is wanting to bring to the Northwest Arkansas area.
Hollywood Sets Eyes on Arkansas
The company isTGE Global Entertainment, Inc and it's looking at building a 92,000-square-foot facility with 45,000-square-feet of film and television studio space in the Ft. Smith area.
The company is already developing a film on the life of Bass Reeves, who was born into slavery but went on to become the first Black Deputy U.S. Marshals west of the Mississippi River.
Plans of Major Hollywood Productions Filmed in This Region
According to NWAHomepage.com TGE Global Entertainment, Inc. Chief Executive Officer Giovanni Jackson stated,
“Through top-tier, insider entertainment industry relationships built over several decades, our TGE executive team intends to bring major Hollywood studio productions to film in this region. Arkansas made great progress last year with its film incentive program, but there’s still a little work to be done to compete on a national scale. It’s a work in progress.”
Might be the Biggest Facility of its Kind Within 550 Mile Radius
When it's completed it will have six sound stages, production offices, facilities for film editing, screening rooms, areas for controlled outdoor filming also known as a 'back lot' plus an amphitheater and more making it the biggest studio facility in a 550-mile radius.
