The Caddo River in Glenwood is a hot spot for folks from the Texarkana area because for one it's not far from here and it offers tubers a chance to hop off along the way for swimming in its shallow pools. This river ride is normally a gentle float with a few rapids that will perk you up, expect to see lots of natural scenery, and occasionally you may see a deer or two along your journey that winds and twists for about 8 miles. Another favorite destination is the Ouachita River with one of the more popular 10-mile floats from Oden to Rocky Shoals. The scenery here is breathtaking as you float through part of the Ouachita National Forest. There are several different options available for the kind of float you desire, something serene or a little more intense. Buffalo National River

This is probably the most popular float adventure of the bunch, it is considered one of the best lazy rivers in Arkansas. The Buffalo National River offers floaters several different skill levels as you navigate along the 150-mile-long river with majestic scenery, towering bluffs, and plenty of wildlife to enjoy on your tubing adventure.
