Annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Observance Event Jan. 14

Arkansas Region of the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church West District Board of Christian Education will be having their annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Observance Event on Sunday, January 14, 2017 at 4PM.

The event will take place at the Johnny Rapert Auditorium University of Arkansas at Hope – Hope, Ark. campus acoording to a press release.

This year the theme is “Empowering the Generations to live The Dream."

Guest Speaker:  Dr. Juanita Mitchell, Director of the SAU Tech Career Academy

Beebe Memorial CME Church – the Reverend Monette Shaw, Pastor

Mt. Pleasant CME Church – the Reverend Deborah Cotledge, Pastor

Mt. Zion CME Church – the Reverend Catrina Ward, Pastor

The Board of Christian Education will present to Heather Manor Nursing Facility staff, twin comforters for their clients beds.  This community activity allows the Board to leave a positive impact on the local community.  This event is free to the general public.
