Arkansas has added 33 more big cats to the already large population at one of the country's best wildlife refuges.
Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge in Arkansas Welcomes 33 New Animals
Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge in Eureka Springs in Arkansas is welcoming the big cats from Florida to its facility. The animal sanctuary in Tampa, Florida, where the cats are coming from, is known for the Netflix series Lion King.
The Tampa Sanctuary was recently sold which prompted the 33 cats to be relocated to Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge. Included in the transfer were tigers, lions, bobcats, cougars and more.
Turpentine Refuge in Arkansas Expansion Freedom Field
Turpentine Refuge has been expanding its facility to house more cats and other wildlife over the past few years. The expansion known as Freedom Field is where the new 33 big cat and other wildlife will reside.
