ASP and Texarkana Arkansas Police Apprehend Teen Murder Suspect (Dashcam)
On Wednesday, October 2, 2024, around 5:30 p.m., Arkansas State Police (ASP) assisted the Texarkana Arkansas Police Department (TAPD) in a high-speed chase involving a stolen vehicle near Garland and Jefferson Avenues in Texarkana, Arkansas.
ASP troopers located the stolen vehicle, driven by a 17-year-old suspect, heading north on Jefferson Avenue. The driver then turned onto Interstate 30, speeding eastbound at approximately 95 mph. Near the I-30/I-49 interchange, the suspect attempted to pass another vehicle in the median but lost control. The car overturned and came to rest on its roof in the median.
The teenager driving the vehicle, who is from Texarkana, was taken into custody by state troopers. After receiving treatment at Christus St. Michael Healthcare, he was transported to a juvenile detention facility in Pine Bluff, Arkansas.
The teen is already facing a First-Degree murder charge for the death of Kendrick Roquemore, which occurred on September 29, 2023, in Texarkana. He had been out on a $250,000 bond awaiting trial next month. Following his arrest on Wednesday, the suspect now faces new felony charges of Theft of Property and Fleeing.
On October 3, 2024, Miller County Circuit Judge Carlton Jones revoked the suspect's original bond and set an additional $250,000 bond for the new charges.
Since the suspect is technically a juvenile, the actual arrest is not shown below, but the high-speed pursuit will get your heart racing.
