It's that time of year again at Spring Lake Park for their annual Community Wide Yard Sale Saturday, April 29, 2017 from 8AM until 3PM.

It was also supposed to be a recycling day for electronics but that was cancelled according to Recreation Specialist Eddie Aulds. "At this time we will not be accepting for recycling this Saturday and we apologize for any inconvenience."   Get there early for some of the best bargains around town from clothing, furniture, home decor, and other miscellaneous items. In case of inclement weather the Community Wide Yard Sale will be moved to it's alternate date May 13. A limited number of 20x20 booth space are still available for $15, but hurry the deadline to get a booth is 5PM this Friday, April 28.  Remember all items are welcome to be sold except the following: animals, firearms, weapons, or food of any kind.

While you're at the park this weekend shopping, kids will enjoy the brand new playground equipment that the Texarkana, Texas Parks and Recreation Department just recently installed. A much needed improvement from some of the older playground equipment that was just getting to costly to maintain.

"We've also installed new playground equipment at Ferguson Park at 3000 Texas Blvd with new equipment soon to be installed at Grady T. Wallace Park out in Liberty Eylau," said, Recreation Specialist, Eddie Aulds.
