Water Parks to Cool Off at This Summer
The summer time heat is on! Many of you will be trying all summer long to find ways to beat the heat. What better way than heading to your nearest water park for a little fun in the sun to cool off?
And you don't have to travel too far to enjoy a refreshing splash in a wave pool or take a plunge from a water slide. Here are a few water parks near here guaranteed to add a little fun to your summer. First let's start out with our own water park.
Located at 5501 Crossroads Parkway behind the Holiday Inn in Texarkana, this park features the Texas Skyfall Waterslide where guests can lay back 65 feet above the ground for an adrenaline rush to the bottom. Others include Ozark Cliff Hanger, Neptunes Revenge, Blue Beast and Green Monster. You can also grab your your tube for some fun on the Lazy River and when it's time for a swim head to the Wave Pool where over a quarter of a million gallons of water make it the largest waves in the area. Holiday Springs also has an awesome children's area with a pool designed just for the kids and a spectacular 42 foot high Mega Play Structure.with over 100 interactive water games with plenty of splashing water.
Take the short drive to Hot Springs, Ark., for a family-filled day of fun at Crystal Falls located at Magic Springs theme park. Crystal Falls has numerous attractions for any age including eight tube slides, three body slides, activity pool, a kid's zone, seven side by side racing slides, a huge wave pool where you can learn how to surf on a boogie board and of course the lazy river at Kodiak Canyon. There's even shaded cabanas for those wanting to stay out of the sun. Load up the family for an adventure of a lifetime at Crystal Falls.
Located in Arlington, Texas this is part of the Six Flags Over Texas chain. This water park has been a fun-filled destinations for generations. Hurricane Harbor is one action packed adventure with plenty of water slides some open and enclosed in darkness to experience what every thrill seeker wants. Relax in the lazy river, check out a six-story drop on the Geronimo or the 40 ft. waves on the Tsunami Surge. And if you want to race your friends, head to the Wahoo Racer, a multi-lane water slide that sends rides through colored tubes before shooting you out into six racing track style lanes. Located in Garland, Texas, this water park prides itself on bringing families together. With numerous water slides for every age, a huge kid's zone play area with interactive games and plenty of splashing water, be prepared to get drenched. This is going to be a day the family never forgets and will be begging to go back time and time again.

Just off I-20 in Canton, Texas, this 11 acre Christian-based water park features water slides, a huge wave pool, lazy river, Kid's castle, 3D Glow in the dark mini-golf and much more. Be sure and check out their other location at nearby Shreveport, LA.
