Dot’s Ace Hardware to Hold Texarkana’s First Grill Fest Oct. 6

Dot’s Ace Hardware and Dot’s Rentals and Sales invite area grilling and food enthusiasts to Texarkana’s first Grill Fest on Saturday. Oct. 6. The event will be held outside at the hardware store at 3411 Richmond Road from 8AM-3PM.

Similar to last year's EggFest, this event will celebrate all things grilling, but with a twist. In addition to the Big Green Egg, Grill Fest will be open to Traeger, Green Mountain, R&V Works, PK Grills, Blackstone Griddles, and T-Wok brand grills, all available at Dot's Ace Hardware.

According to a press release, picture a circle of smoking grills with new foods to sample each hour, from sweet to savory, breakfast to lunch and beyond. Ticketholders, also called tasters, come to the event to watch the cooks, get recipe ideas and insights, and of course, to try all of the teams’ tasty creations.

“You can cook just about anything on a grill and it’ll taste amazing,” said Bob Lyndon with Dot’s Ace Hardware. “Grilling adds a depth of flavor you can’t get from other methods of cooking. Plus, it’s just plain fun to fire up the grill for family and friends. Texarkana Grill Fest will basically be the biggest neighborhood barbecue you’ve ever seen.”

Grill Fest will also feature vendors whose wares complement grilling culture, like Sullifarm and Kitchen, Lock Creek Meats and Lifetime Cutting Boards. Dot’s Ace Hardware will be having a 20% off sale during the event (some exclusions apply), and Ace Rewards members will receive a $10 Ace gift card with admission to Grill Fest, making this a day of tasting and shopping you don’t want to miss.
