Which Delicious Steak Won The Boomtown Border City Steak Cookoff?

I'll tell you who won, me! Because I got to sample some amazing steak at the second annual Boomtown Border City Steak Cookoff at Dots Ace Hardware in Texarkana last weekend. Man, that was some good eatin'. 

I know, that's not the answer you were looking for, but I had to tell you how good it was first. If you missed the event, it's guaranteed that if you were anywhere near Richmond Rd. last Saturday and down-wind from this cookoff event, you knew it. The smell of steaks in the air was rubber-legged, mouthwatering.

Dot's Ace Hardware hosted the event again this year and did a terrific job with it, Red River Beef Co. from just down the street provided all the meat the competitors used and it was a slugfest to determine the winners. I've been a judge before, it is not an easy job, I can't imagine how hard it must have been to judge this one.

The turnout was better than last year and the competition was fierce, congratulations to all who participated.
