There is an East Texas man on the loose that has been convicted of killing his girlfriend back in 2020. The Sabine County Sheriff's Department along with other law enforcement agencies continue to search for Matthew Hoy Edgar. Texarkana and other east Texas towns need to be on the lookout for this man.

Here's Why They are Looking for Matthew Hoy Edgar

Authorities are searching for him in East Texas, North East Texas and Louisana after Edgar didn't show up for the trial on January 27. His trial continued with his attorney even though Edgar was not present. The jury sentenced him to 99-years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice Institutional Division for the murder of Livye Lewis on October 31, 2020.

 There Are A Lot of Authorities Looking for This Man

According to the Sabine County Sheriff's Department's Facebook page 

After the search began, Thursday which involved the Texas Department of Public Safety, the Lufkin Police Department, Texas Parks and Wild Life, and the United States Marshall's Office the Sabine County Sheriff's Office, there had been some sightings of him in Sabine County also Jasper and Orange Counties but he is still on the run
