Former NFL Player Akeem Shavers Set to Deliver Message at Town Hall Event

The Texarkana College chapter of Phi Theta Kappa Honors Society, along with the Housing Authority of Texarkana, invite you to attend a Town Hall event to learn how to make the most out of your future. The event is set for Tuesday, December 13 at 5PM at the Pecan Ridge at Rosehill Apartments Community Room, 2210 West 15th Street in Texarkana.

Guest speaker Akeem Shavers, Redwater High School graduate and former NFL and Canadian League player, will share his insight on the importance of following your dreams, but also how important it is to have a backup plan in place.

The event also features information about career training programs available through the Texarkana College Workforce Division and will give guests an opportunity to meet and visit with TC workforce instructors, enter to win door prizes, and meet guest speaker Akeem Shavers.
