Gladys Morriss Stone Soup Luncheon To Support Community Causes
Nothing warms the heart and soul like a warm bowl of soup. The Salvation Army Women's Auxiliary Gladys Morriss Stone Soup Luncheon is scheduled for February 20, from 11 AM to 1:30 PM at the First United Methodist Church, 400 East 6th Street in Texarkana.
Stone Soup Luncheon Memorial Fundraiser
Stone Soup is one of the largest fundraisers for the Women's Auxiliary started when Gladys Morriss, one of the founding members, bought a black pot and used it to make a large amount of soup for people in need. Since then, the Stone Soup Luncheon has grown in popularity and has become a staple and tradition for the community and the Women's Auxiliary.

The Salvation Army Women's Auxilary of Texarkana was the first charter established in Texas. Their organization is a volunteer, educational, and fundraising arm to help enrich the lives of those in need. The Texarkana Women's Auxilary began in 1985 and has been serving 37 years of service to the community.
Where The Money Raised Goes
The money raised through Stone Soup helps the Center of Hope Shelter and the Salvation Army Red Sheild Youth Center. Tickets for this event are $10.
The Salvation Army Women's Auxilary cordially invites the Texarkana community to attend the Stone Soup Luncheon, which will be held on February, 20, at First United Methodist Church in Texarkana, Arkansas from 11 AM to 1:30 PM.
