Driving on Arkansas interstate highways is dangerous enough, but a driver under the influence traveling at a high rate of speed becomes lethal quickly.
Blazing Speed: Suspect in a Chevy Blazer Chased Down by Arkansas Police
A new video has surfaced on YouTube as the Arkansas State Police joined the Faulkner County Sheriff’s Office in pursuit of a man in a Chevy Blazer weaving in and out of traffic erratically at a high rate of speed on I-40 eastbound near the 135-mile marker. The incident occurred around 10 p.m. on July 10, 2025, and a dash cam mounted on one of the vehicles captured the chase in real time, including the takedown of the suspect.

According to the GM Authority website, a responding officer from the Arkansas State Police joined in the chase after the 135-mile marker and became the lead unit. The suspect was reportedly driving at 100 mph before the pursuing officer initiated a TVI maneuver, which stands for Tactical Vehicle Intervention.
The maneuver spun the Chevy Blazer out of control and into a concrete median at around the one-minute mark on the video.

While being stopped for a moment, that didn't stop the suspect; he spun out and proceeded down the interstate once again, eluding police at a high rate of speed. Once again, police executed another TVI moments later, spinning the vehicle like a top and into a concrete wall. Officers were able to box the suspect in an attempt to prevent the suspect from getting away again.

In the video, the suspect is seen shouting obscenities at the officers and refusing to get out of the vehicle. Once the police were able to get the suspect out, he continued to curse at the officers when one of the officers took him down with a leg sweep, knocking him to the pavement. The officers were finally able to subdue the suspect and place him under arrest, where he faces multiple charges for his erratic behavior.
