Trails for Every Skill Level at Hot Springs Northwoods Trails System

These trails were designed and built by the International Mountain Bicycling Association and offer something for every level of bike rider, from single and multi-track paths to flow trails, and jump lines.

The trails are marked by difficulty, making it easy to find the right fit: green for beginners, blue for intermediate riders, and black for advanced riders. Most trails are also open to hikers and runners.

A Competitive Field Across Arkansas

This year’s Arkansas Outside contest started with 42 trail systems across the state and went through six rounds of voting. When it was all said and done, Northwoods came out on top, beating out top contenders like Iron Mountain, LOViT, and the Ouachita National Recreation Trail.

Visit Hot Springs Marketing Director Bill Solleder said,

The Northwoods Trails crew does an incredible job at making sure the trails are in tip-top shape for expert and beginner riders alike. It’s no wonder Northwoods is No. 1.
