It is Good Friday, Christians around the world marking the day. In Jerusalem they commemorated the crucifixion, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ by retracing his last steps ending at the Church of the Holy Sepulcher.

The Arkansas Game & Fish Commission has approved regulation changes for the deer hunting season. Officials have approved a change that increases the statewide bag limit from 5 to 6 deer, with no more than 2 bucks. The new regulations will be part of the 2011-2012 Deer Hunting season in the Natural State.

Coming up next Tuesday April 26th is the Texarkana Aarea Razorback Club's Annual Meeting at the Four States Fair Entertainment Center. The featured speaker this year is brand new University of Arkansas Head Basketball Coach Mike Anderson. Tickets are $25 for adults & $15 for children under 12. Barbecue will be served and the event starts at 6:30pm.

The 2011 Golf USA Golf Carnival will be held tommorrow (Saturday April 23rd from 9-3 at the Oak Grove Golf Club next to Red River Army Depot. The event is benefiting "The First Tee of Greater Texarkana" a youth development organization centered around Character Development, Life Skills Education, Healthy Habits and teaching young people the game of golf.
One low ticket price incoudes access to vero 20 vendors, a round of golf, and lunch. Door prizes will be handed out all day long.
