Good Thursday, Here are some stories making headlines today:

The Texarkana Arkansas Police Department says that a death investigation has come to a close.  Authorities say that an autopsy shows a body found earlier this week showed signs of suicide, so no crime was committed.  The body of the 60 year old was found in the 5100 block of Crossroads Parkway in an undeveloped partially wooded area.

More people applied for unemployment benefits last week, evidence that layoffs are rising and the job market is weak. The Labor Department says applications for unemployment benefits rose by 10,000 to a seasonally adjusted 418,000. Applications have topped 400,000 for 15 straight weeks, a sign of sluggish hiring. Consumers have pulled pack on spending this year, because of high unemployment, stagnant wages and high gasoline prices that have slowed the economic recovery.
