Capitol Murder Suspect Still At Large – $1000 Reward Offered For Information
17-year-old Kevonte Collins is still wanted on capital murder charges stemming from a triple shooting in Texarkana back in December, two of the shooting victims died in that incident. A District Judge ordered the release of Collins' identity in February as Collins is now 17 years old. The shootings took place when he was 16, Texarkana Texas Police want to remind you that a $1000 reward has been offered for information leading to his arrest.
Collins is wanted in connection with the December murders of two 18-year-olds, Deangelo Handy and Rickalon Young, plus another 17-year-old man was also shot several times in this incident that happened at the Oaks at Rosehill Apartments.
A Capital Murder warrant for Kevonte Collins, 16, at the time of the shooting, was issued within a few days. Police statement on the Texarkana Texas Police Facebook Page:
We know that he immediately left the Texarkana area and fled to another city. We believe that he might be hiding out somewhere in the DFW metroplex now, but he has reportedly been spotted a few times around here in the last couple of weeks.
