If you are planning a visit to the Little Rock Zoo this month, be sure to keep an eye on the calendar. September will bring a few schedule adjustments for special events and maintenance work.

September Schedule Changes at The Little Rock Zoo in Arkansas

The first major change occurs this Friday, September 6, when the Zoo will be closed all day due to the Razorbacks' game against the Arkansas State Red Wolves at War Memorial Stadium.

On Sunday, September 8, guests are welcome until 2 PM and then the Zoo will close early for scheduled tree maintenance.

A few days later, on Wednesday, September 11, they will close early again at 2 PM. This early closure is to allow staff members to set up for one of the Zoo’s most popular annual events, Zoo Brew & Cocktails Too!.

Finally, on Monday, September 22, the Zoo will be closed all day to allow crews to continue their tree maintenance work around the grounds.

Some Alligators In Arkansas You Can Touch - Most You Can't

If you're looking for a great day trip for the whole family may I recommend a fun outing at the Alligator Farm & Petting Zoo in Hot Springs, Arkansas? My wife has been visiting this fun attraction since she was a little girl, we manage to get around to seeing it every couple of years or so and for the most part, it stays pretty much the same, but it's always fun to pet a baby gater.
