Jefferson’s Mardi Gras Upriver: Three-Day Throwback to the 80s!

If you're looking for Mardi Gras fun this weekend, several celebrations will be taking place in our area, including Jefferson, Texas, for the 2026 Mardi Gras Upriver.

36th Annual Mardi Gras Upriver Celebration in Historic Jefferson, Texas

The Krewe of Hebe presents 80s Movies February 6-8 in downtown historic Jefferson, celebrating the unforgettable 80s movies with plenty of throwback fun for all ages. Mardi Gras Upriver turns up the fun with colorful 80s-themed parade floats, bands, live music, lots of beads, sparkling costumes, tasty food, and unique shopping throughout the weekend.

The 2026 Mardi Gras Upriver celebration also features a children's carnival all day and a Krewe of Hebe souvenir booth. Get dressed up in your most outlandish costume and join the fun all weekend in Jefferson, Texas.
