National Go Red for Women Day is February 3
Circle the day on your calendar and tell your friends that Friday, Feb. 3 is "National Go Red for Women Day." Celebrate Go Red for Women Day by wearing red and joining providers at the Wadley Senior Clinic as they inspire women to be informed and take charge of their heart health from 9-11AM in their community room.
This will give everyone who attends the opportunity to see what the Wadley HealthCare Network provides. In addition to meeting the Wadley HealthCare providers, here's what else they will be offering.
• Free BP checks
• Free cholesterol screens
• Drawing for “Go Red for Women” basket
• A special gift for every woman dressed in red
• Special pricing for women on the Wadley Scan at the Wadley Senior Clinic
• Heart healthy refreshments with recipe cards
• Free Red Dress pin for each attendee
• Educational information
Cardiovascular disease is not just a man’s disease. Cardiovascular disease is the Number 1 killer of women over age 25 in the United States, regardless of race or ethnicity. Women are less likely to recognize the symptoms of a heart attack and seek treatment right away. The Wadley HeartCare Network has four female providers who are committed to caring for the women in our community through education and awareness and providing advanced treatment options.
