Shipley Do-nuts On Arkansas Blvd… Is Open!

The donut of my childhood dreams has finally come to Texarkana. Over a year in the making, Shipley Do-nuts is now open on Arkansas, Blvd. Be still my beating heart.

It's been over a year since ground broke on the new Shipley Do-nuts location and I thought it would never get here, thank goodness I was wrong. How good are they? Let's find out! That's Taylor in the pic above, she said they've been busy all day on this, their first day of operation, April 3, 2019.

Store hours will be 5 AM - 5 PM, seven days a week.

Their grand opening isn't officially till next month, so I apologize if this gets them a little busier than they had planned but, oh well!

Welcome to the neighborhood, we wish you good luck, although I'm not sure you're gonna need that.

Shipley History:

Shipley Do-nuts began in Houston, Texas in 1936 at a little bakery on Crockett St. on the Northside. In the beginning, they were a wholesaler of these tasty pastries selling for just 5 Cents a dozen. Lawrence Shipley Sr. created a wonderful treat that people flocked to and soon they had their first retail location.

Shipley has around 300 franchised locations in the southern United States including Texas, Arkansas, Louisianna, and many more states.
