Have you heard some Target stores will be closing? Is Texarkana on the list?
The good news is NO, the Texarkana Target is not on the list of stores expected to be closing. However, about a dozen under performing stores will be closing their doors for good next year, as the announcement was officially announced today in a nationwide press release. I have to admit when I heard this announced, I took a deep breath. I was like, no, not Target.
Here's the list of Target stores closing.
- Benton Harbor, Michigan
- Eastland-Harper Woods, Michigan
- Hastings, Minnesota
- Fergus Falls, Minnesota
- Hutchinson, Kansas
- Macon, Georgia
- Slidell, Louisiana
- Romeoville, Illinois
- Matteson, IIInois

For the upcoming year Target is expected to focus on remodeling some of their well performing stores, and open some new small format locations this year and in 2018 near college campuses and in urban areas.
So if you shop at the Target store in Texarkana, everything looks good. By the way, some of their Black Friday deals have already been leaked out according to Forbes.
