For 25 years the National Association of Letter Carriers have been participating in the Stamp Out Hunger food drive, let's make 2017 the best year ever.

This is the largest food drive in the nation and starting Monday, May 8 Letter Carriers will be fanning out through their routes and distributing thousands of bags. Your job is to fill that bag with non-perishable foods and then leave next to your mailbox on Saturday, May 13 when the letter carriers will pick them up.

Over 35,000 pounds of food was collected right here in our area last year and of course, we would love to beat that by a lot this year.

Five different agencies will benefit from the distribution of the collected food. They will include; "Harvest, Salvation Army, Texarkana Friendship Center, Randy Sam's Center, and Domestic Violence (Prevention) are some of the agencies that will share, as part of these collections," said Mark Bledsoe during our interview.
