The numbers continue to tick downward in our area, however, you will notice the vaccination percentages have gone down as well. Here's why, in Texas, as of 11/4/21, 5-year-olds and up are now included in the vaccine numbers which increases the overall possible number of vaccine recipients which will therefore decrease the overall vaccination rates.

In Arkansas this week they started using the new 2020 census figures and added individuals ages 5 - 11 to the numbers as well. So if you noticed a drop in vaccination rates, that's what's going on.
