
Cold Weather Advisory: Texarkana Braces For Weekend Big Chill
About the time we are digging our way out of the winter storm, another round of very cold air is coming our way, and it could turn the melting slush on the roads back to ice.
Dangerous Wind Chills to Grip The Texarkana Area This Weekend
The good news is this cold blast is not expected to bring any precipitation to the Texarkana area; however, North Central Arkansas could see a wintry mix of snow tonight through Friday.
According to the National Weather Service, a cold weather advisory is in effect from midnight Friday until noon on Saturday.

Counties Under the Cold Weather Advisory Include The Following
Miller, Little River, Sevier, Hempstead, and Howard counties in Southwest Arkansas, Bowie and Cass counties in Northeast Texas, and McCurtain County, Oklahoma, are included in the advisory.
Texarkana Weekend Weather for Jan. 31-Feb. 1
Partly Cloudy on Saturday with the high right at freezing at 32. The overnight low Saturday is expected to fall near 16 degrees along and north of Interstate 20, and 10 to 15 degrees south, with extreme wind chills in the single digits. High on Sunday will be around 42, with a low back in the teens for Sunday night.

If heading outdoors, people should wear thick coats, layered clothing, hats, scarves, and gloves, keeping any exposed skin covered to avoid frostbite.
