Texarkana Police Arrest Two Suspects in Burglary Case
The Texarkana Texas Police Department arrested two men for Burglary of a Vehicle early this morning.
Authorities say officers discovered one of them was allegedly carrying a stolen women’s wallet.
At approximately 1:50 this morning, Officer Shawn Jacobs observed 18 year old Elexis Davis, of Texarkana Arkansas, and 19 year old Christofer Coleman-Pearson, of Texarkana Texas walking in the roadway in the 2400 block of Stevenson Street.
Officer Jacobs became suspicious as he spoke to the men because of inconsistencies in what they told him. After the men agreed to allow Jacobs to search the clothing they were wearing, Jacobs found a large amount of loose change in both men’s pockets and a red women’s wallet with a Mickey Mouse design in the waistband of Davis’ pants. Davis told Jacobs that a girl had given it to him but said he could not remember her name. The wallet contained identification and credit cards belonging to a woman who lives in the 100 block of South Circle.
Officer Jarod Dean went to that address and found that someone had rummaged through the vehicle parked in the driveway. The owner told Dean that items were missing from her vehicle, including the red Mickey Mouse wallet.
Both men were arrested without incident and transported to the Bi-State Jail. Correctional officers subsequently allegedly located two small plastic bottles with several different types of pills concealed inside the Davis’ pants.
Davis is charged with Burglary of a Vehicle, Possession of Dangerous Drugs, and Walking in the Roadway. Coleman-Pearson is charged with Burglary of a Vehicle and Walking in the Roadway.
