Texarkana Water Utilities to Close Portions of College Drive
Texarkana Water Utilities has announced they will be working on an area of town that will require portions of College Drive to be closed for possibly three to four weeks.
It is all so they can replace the sewer lines in that area starting on Monday, March 25.
The area in Texarkana that will be closed will be the portion of College Drive from Coolidge Street to the east portion of Tanglewood Drive for a sewer replacement project.
It's always great to see that the city is making improvements around town. Then it's even better to know that those improvements will be in your neighborhood...that is until the construction starts and you have to change your routine a bit. So, don't get in a huff when these improvements start taking place. Remember it is only temporary.
Road closure notes include
-All residents on Tanglewood Drive will have access to driveways and mailboxes for mail delivery.
- 2600 Tanglewood Drive will only have access from the side driveway on east side of the property.
- The U.S. Marine Corps Center is completely within the street closure.
According to the press release,
If you live in this area, you will have access to Coolidge Street, That access will be maintained for the houses along College Drive and Marine Station.
Please take into consideration that there will be no thru traffic allowed. TWU is expecting this project and the street closure to last between 3 to 4 weeks depending on the weather conditions.
