Texarkana,Arkansas Police Department ‘Shop With a Cop’ A Success

Tuesday morning you could hear sirens blaring all across the city as Texarkana, Arkansas police and fire personnel banned together for the annual Shop With a Cop Event. The police motorcade headed to the Arkansas side Wal-Mart for a real treat.62 under privileged children from our community received something special for Christmas from local police,firefighters, and volunteers at the local Wal-Mart. Over 35 officers donated their own time to help bring a smile to a child's face. A huge shout out to the 3rd shift for coming together and raising extra money to provide 3 bikes and 2 power wheel police chargers to five chosen children.

And of course to Douglas, thank you, for basically becoming a Wal-Mart employee for the past two days, and putting all of the bikes and chargers together.
