There are so many great towns in Arkansas that don't get the attention or credit but are still fun to visit and take in a festival, shopping or relax and do a lot of nothing. But which town is the most underrated in the state?

So now we know the most underrated towns to visit in Arkansas, Texas and Louisiana.

Shreveport, Louisiana yes that's right. todayshomeowner.com said it's basically because it shares the state with New Orleans and yeah, I get it. Shreveport has a ton of things to offer from restaurants, concerts, casinos, horse racing and the art center Artspace in the downtown area.

Glen Rose, Texas. Glen Rose is only about an hour southwest of Ft. Worth. The report says it's a relaxing getaway but it sounds like there's plenty to do. Glen Rose is also known as the Dinasoar Captial of Texas. Check out the Dinasoar Valley State Park and The Dinasoar World Museum. If you love animals be sure and go to Fossil Rim Wildlife Center, this wildlife sanctuary is the fifth largest of its kind in the world spanning 1,800 acres. You can have self or guided tours and even stay the night.

El Dorado, Arkansas. If you've been to El Dorado for their annual Musicfest in October, you know there is plenty to do in this town. The downtown area is a great place to shop and grab a bite to eat. If you love the old west check out the Showdown at Sunset festival in June where there is a re-enactment of the Parnell-Tucker gunfight that took place in 1902. You can tour the Newton House Museum and take a nature walk and see the beautiful South Arkansas Arboretum.
