The University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana will host a special business after hours reception on July 11 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Rapert Library Complex on the Hope Campus to celebrate the expansion of the first building constructed on the U of A at Hope campus after joining the University of Arkansas System in 1996. Over the last 20 years, the Library has become a landmark for Hempstead County and the U of A Hope campus.

“Almost a quarter century ago, our community celebrated the construction of the Rapert Library as the symbol of a partnership between all of us and the University of Arkansas System. It makes perfect sense that we should all join together again to celebrate the new renovation and expansion of the Rapert Library as a reminder of all that it has made possible since that historic day and the future potential that it promises for our campus and our region,” said Chris Thomason, UAHT Chancellor.

According to the Press Release, the public is invited to attend and enjoy snacks and a tour of the library expansion. For more information, call 870-777-5722.
