Chili Cook-off, Virtual Comic Con, Team Roping Competition
January is whipping by and we are looking at warmer temperatures this weekend. This month is usually a pretty slow month for events as everyone recovers from the Christmas holiday hustle and bustle. But, we did find a few great events going on this weekend in Texarkana that you should check out.
Annual Bridge City Chili Cook-Off Fundraiser
The Texarkana Homeless Coalition will be hosting it's Annual Bridge City Chili Cook-Off Fundraiser on Friday from 5 PM to 7:30 PM at 319 Pine Street (right behind the Lofts at the Grimm). Proceeds raised will go to helping coordinate homeless services, fund scholarships, and other educational opportunities. Virtual Comic Convention Multiverse FunRaiser with Local Professor

Integrity Team Roping
Looking for some cowboy roping action? Check out the Red River Championships at the 4 States Fair Entertainment Center. This event is both Saturday and Sunday. Enter time is at 8 AM both days. Roping starts at 9 AM each day. More details here.
