Weiner Dog Races Coming April 19 to Benefit Texarkana Animal League

Springtime is right around the corner and with it comes all kinds of fun, goofy, Spring-timey, things to do. Have you heard of the "Waggin' Wiener Run?" This one is new to me, but it sounds like a blast, I mean, who doesn't love Weenie Dog Races?

Tails will be wagging and fans will be cheering them on in the biggest and best weenie dog race in the Ark-La-Tex. Oh, and they are not leaving out other dog breeds in this event, "Weiner-Be" is the race for the other dogs under 35 pounds, so they get to participate too.

• Pet Costume Contest (Free entry for all dogs in costume!)
• Face Painting
• Pet Vendors
• Hot Dog Eating Contest – Free entry, but limited to 15 contestants (Registration at event)
• Live Music

Hopkins Ice House - 301 E. 3rd St. Texarkana, Arkansas

Saturday, April 19, 2025

Schedule:

• 12 PM - Check-in (all dogs must be checked in no later than 12:45 PM
• 1 PM - Weenie Dog Races
• 2 PM - Hot Dog Eating Contest- Free Entry!
• 3 PM - Wiener-Be Dog Races (open to all other breeds under 35lbs)
• 4 PM - Finalist Race

Entry Fees:

• $20 per dog for LNKTXK Members
• $25 per dog for Non- LNKTXK Members
• Enjoy a free costume contest, open to dogs of all sizes!

Prizes:

1st, 2nd, 3rd Place in each category will receive a prize. The winner of the costume contest will receive a prize and every entrant will receive a race day goodie bag!
