There have been and are so many great country artists, but picking the best of the best is pretty daunting. Recently we asked our listeners who they think should be on the Mount Rushmore of Country Music.

Of course, there are so many great country artists to choose from,that it is hard to really make a decision. Once you decide on four artists then all of a sudden you remember at a least three other artists that should have a place on the Mount Rushmore of Country Music.

Was it this hard for American sculptor Gutzon Borglum to come up with the four great men he chose? The real Mount Rushmore is located in South Dakota and I would love to see it in person some day. Why did Borglum choose  George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt, and Abraham Lincoln? He thought about four different areas of our country that he wanted to represent. These men represent the nation's birth, growth, development, and preservation.
